ABOUT US AND HISTORY

Ex-serviceman looking to play Rugby League as a means of maintaining friendships, formed the Bondi United Club in 1946.

Since this humble beginning the club has had a proud and successful history fielding teams every year for the past 77 years. Many outstanding players have passed through the club’s ranks including internationals Ferris Ahston, Ray Beven, Kevin Junee, John Mayes, John Pearl and Paul Dunn as well as recent Sydney Roosters star and record holder, Luke Ricketson.

Bondi United is the most successful Roosters junior club, winning 10 club championships and over 120 individual premierships.

Over the years the club has evolved to take an important role in the community.

We also provide competitive sporting outlets for our parents, fielding teams in women’s netball and basketball, mixed touch football and tag football competitions.

Our swimming club continues to be the biggest social group competing at Bondi Bath every Sunday morning during the summer season. Everyone from toddlers to seniors is welcome to share in the fun and games.

Bondi United embraces the ARL Junior League Code of Conduct and Safe Play Code.

We are always in need of helpers and sponsors, so if you would like to join us or if you have any ideas, please contact:
